Heritage Night

I haven't been on in a while because life has been crazy busy, so I have many many MANY pictures to share. For the next couple of days I am going to share a few words and lots of pictures of what we have been up to. First up, Heritage night which was exactly one week ago. This was at Ashleigh's school and she had to do a project where she interviewed me about my heritage. I made some Aloo Matar for the event and we got to try food from all over the world. I thought it was a neat idea and we enjoyed the night until it got a bit too crowded, then I had to make my exit. Huge crowds in confined spaces...not my thing, unless it is a Fiber Fair, then I ignore the people and concentrate on the fiber...even then I have to go visit the animals to get some breathing room. Anyway, here we go.

My kids in their Indian outfits.

Ashleigh with her presentation.

Lots of presentations throughout the school.

This little adorable girl in a Japanese outfit.
Actually not so many pictures from this night, but don't worry there are lot more coming in the next few days.
Peace, Yasmin

  1. That's great that they have the kids look at their heritage and learn that people in the US are from all over. Were you born in India?
